LPN II – Full Time – Primary Care Anacostia Tech


All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, ***** and specialty nursing standards, ***** ***** Policies, and procedures and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The LPN ll will be responsible to provide care under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse. ***** ***** supports the development of the LPN within the community specifically those relationships associated with the health and wellbeing of the community at large.

Roles Responsibility
Differentiate a new problem from a long term problem at the time of admission/clinic visit, conduct a patient history, accurately take vital signs, recognize physical and behavioral changes, collect and test specimens, follow infection control protocols, follow emergency plans, complete patient assignments, work cohesively with the team, refer to physicians and registered nurses, perform actions of preventive health care, assist in education plan, document observations and interventions, place safety first, remain with patient in distress, demonstrate collaborative behavior, contribute to positive work environment, demonstrate flexibility, contribute to a positive work environment, use resources efficiently, speak up for safety, attend to important details.
Desired Qualification
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent, vocational/technical training, LPN Certification, Demonstrates competence in obtaining accurate vital signs, assessment and documentation of patient care, LPN Medication Administration test, hospital and nursing orientation.
