The Ambulatory Patient Care T ech will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care delivery team under the direction of the Registered Nurse, to perform basic nursing care activities, assist to maintain a safe, clean, stocked patient care setting, assist staff members and help direct patient flow
Roles Responsibility
Collect data and accurately document information for meaningful use, Recognize abnormalities and report to RN or Provider, Provide basic nursing care, Check and ensure all relevant equipment is in working order, Collect specimens for testing, Meet Joint Commission/DOH documentation requirements, Assist with maintaining a neat orderly environment, Help prepare the exam room, Monitor waiting room and ensure families are informed, Perform, evaluate and report QC protocol, Participate in continuing education opportunities, Process specimens by centrifugation and sorting, Follow directions precisely and maintain confidentiality, Anticipate and respond to customer needs, Demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior, Identify opportunities to improve processes, Use resources efficiently, Speak up when team members exhibit unsafe behavior, Actively promote safety for patients and co-workers Desired Qualification
