The PCA will be responsible for providing direct and indirect care for patients by assisting RNs with clinical tasks and responding to the needs of patients and family members, working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment, remotely monitor the safety of multiple patients at a time utilizing a continuous virtual monitoring system, make patient assignments for the continuous virtual monitoring staff, be able to communicate effectively with the Nurse Administrators, attend all non-emergent central line placements as an observer, document and attest to observing sterile technique for central line placement in EPIC.
