SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Inpatient Float Pool unit.
This position is a 0.8 FTE (variable shifts/ pay period), Combo 8 & 12-hour shifts, Nights, Every Third Weekend.
This specific opening is to primarily support the Med/Surg/Tele/Pediatrics/OB/NICU Inpatient Float Pool Team however this position may be floated to other units based on staffing needs and RN training.
The team will float to medicine, orthopedic, surgical/trauma/neuro, cardiac/renal, medical and surgical intermediate care, observation, rehab, Pediatrics, OB/GYN and NICU units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the context of the ***** County Medical Center “Centered Around You” Patient & Family Centered Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
Alleviating suffering through nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
Educating patient on their disease process
Assuring continuity of care
Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
