To use evidence-based decision making combined with innovative, practical ideas to perform consultation/research, data collection, comparison, reporting, analysis, facilitation of recommendations for improvement, and support medical staff performance improvement activities. To work collaboratively with physicians responsible for patients and the unit, department or division. May develop evidence based protocols, implement perioperative plans using quality improvement methods.
