The registered nurse provides care for medical/surgical patients varying by specialty from birth to adulthood in a 20-bed general care and step-down unit specializing in heart, liver, and kidney transplants, genetic/metabolic diseases, inpatient clinical research, cardiac/cardiac surgery patients, including step-down care for complex congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease, heart failure, and dysrhythmias.
