Compensation:
Pay Range: $33.45 – $49.35 / hour
– A limited number of $8,000 sign-on bonus are available for qualifying candidates who accept a full-time RN positions with Hospitalist 6N – UAB Highlands.

Unit Details:
The Hospitalist Unit or “Highlands 6 North” is a brand new 24-bed acute care unit located at UAB Hospital-Highlands that will provide care to medical patients with a variety of acute care needs. This unit has been completely remodeled, and the improved design was influenced and driven by our nurses to meet the specific needs of our bedside staff. UAB Hospital-Highlands combines the feel of a community hospital – including small size, free parking, and neighborhood location – with the same expertise and technology available at our flagship facility. UAB Hospital Medicine, or Hospitalist, was the first hospital medicine program in the state of ***** and one of the first in the Southeast. They provide care for the largest population of patients discharged from UAB Medicine.

Job Description:
To work with nursing leadership to direct nursing service activities in the assigned care unit for the duration of one shift and/or in the absence of the Nurse Manager. To provide professional nursing care for patients in assigned care unit. To support nursing leadership in the coordination of patient care, personnel management, physician/interdisciplinary collaboration and general administrative duties.
