Registered Nurse, Wound Care
Directs agency-wide initiatives for pressure ulcer prevention, wound care and ostomy care, to include supporting pressure ulcer prevalence data collection, evidence-based policies, procedures, and protocols, and advisement of appropriate support surfaces, products, and staff decision-making algorithms. Develops and conducts educational programs and clinical instruction for staff and students. Provides advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff regarding the management of complex wounds. Determines appropriate nursing interventions for identified patient problems. Recommends necessary resources, equipment, and materials for wound or ostomy care plans. Performs pre-operative stoma site marking and ostomy education. Develops post-operative ostomy education and care plans for patients and families. Performs related responsibilities as required.
