Performs continual one-on-one patient monitoring under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Roles Responsibility
Remains at the bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member, Provides calming and reorienting conversation with the patient in cases of the patient's agitation or confusion, Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and patient's environment, and reports as appropriate, Provides limited patient care activities consisting of vital signs monitoring, intake and output, and ambulation under the supervision of an RN, Assists the patient with tending to personal care and activities of daily living including but not limited to bathing, grooming, and eating, Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
