The Charge Nurse is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities for the provision of quality patient care during the assigned shift within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of ***** *****. The Charge Nurse is responsible to the Nurse Manager and Assistant Nurse Manager and serves as a mentor to the staff. The Charge Nurse demonstrates the consistent ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the nursing process, quality improvement standards, and organizational and department goal and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
