Position Summary:
To provide direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations based on the nursing process, UAB Hospital Standards of Nursing Care and UAB Hospital policies and procedures. To orient patients and family members to surrounding environment, acting as a patient advocate.
To collect patient assessment data and notify the appropriate staff of potential problems. To evaluate patient’s response to care and report findings as appropriate. To document delivery of patient care, effectively respond to emergency situations, meet patient’s educational needs and serve as a role model to other members of the patient care team.
The LPN will provide patient care in a very busy outpatient family medicine clinic.
Salary Range: $17.10 – $23.00
