Providing direct and indirect care for patients by assisting RNs with clinical tasks, responding to the needs of patients and family members, taking a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit, remotely monitoring the safety of multiple patients, making patient assignments for continuous virtual monitoring staff, working collaboratively with the PCAs in the continuous virtual monitoring room, attending non-emergent central line placements as an observer, recognizing breaks in sterile technique, documenting observations in EPIC.
