The LPN ll will be responsible to provide care under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse. ***** ***** supports the development of the LPN within the community specifically those relationships associated with the health and wellbeing of the community at large.
Roles Responsibility
Differentiate a new problem from a long term problem at the time of admission/clinic visit, conduct a patient history, accurately take vital signs, recognize physical and behavioral changes, perform basic nursing care, respond to alarms, collect and test specimens, follow infection control protocols, follow emergency plans, follow nursing practice guidelines, complete patient assignments, contribute to care plans, follow physician's orders precisely, orient children and families, review medical records, teach families, escalate patient care, refer to physicians and registered nurses, perform actions of preventive health care, offer extra attention to isolated children, complete mandatory education and regulatory requirements, develop annual goals, assist orientees if uncomfortable, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, participate in ongoing professional development, document observations and interventions accurately, gather patient and family data, demonstrate competency in clinical skills, complete documentation accurately, assess and plan for educational needs, provide medications safely, organize care efficiently, demonstrate caring behaviors, propose medication refills Desired Qualification
