Collaborates with customers, information services, vendors, peers in the informatics role, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute information technology plans including software applications and hardware related to clinical workflows. Acts as advocate for staff relative to clinical IT issues. Provides link between medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical users, senior administration, and information services. Conducts regular rounding sessions with customers to explore system use and identify areas of improvements for patient care. Provides on-call training support. Develops, implements, evaluates IT education programs, and continuing education plans related to information systems. Needs strong analytical abilities, problem solving, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and knowledge of software applications. Other duties as assigned.
