Critical Medicine Physician- Cardiac Critical Care


The faculty physician is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Division Chief and/or the Center leadership.

Roles Responsibility
Provide clinical services for patients, Provide oversight of the medical care team, Provide on-call services, Actively participate in family centered care, Appropriately utilize the defined chain of command, Respond to team members and outside medical providers in a timely manner, Participate in CNMC’s advocacy initiatives, Contribute scholarly effort to public policy, Teach patients and families, Conduct research, Participate in reviewing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, Publish in scientific journals, Submit applications for grants or contracts for funding, Participate in medical education programs, Participate in hospital/university-wide educational programs, Provide feedback to trainees, Ensure adequate orientation for trainees, Supervise and train clinical professionals and students, Follow established policies and procedures, Complete clinical documentation, Identify problems related to patient services, Cooperate in the development of policies, Review and prepare protocols, Evaluate patient care, Participate in evaluation of peers and support staff
Desired Qualification
MD Medical Doctor, Board certified or eligible for board certification in primary practice specialty, Board certification in relevant secondary specialty
